Cocoloko beach resort is much more of a nature retreat then a hotel. Travelers must be willing to give up some of their traditional luxuries in order to experience some of the breathtaking wilderness and wildlife situated near the Cocoloko Camp.

It is an ideal place for travelers to sleep in round huts, enjoy dreamy beaches, learn to drum and dance, swim in the sea and enjoy the sun.

Situated only an hour outside of Accra, the resort is easy enough to get to, and in fact offers a pickup service for 80 euros. Cocoloko offers restaurant services of locally caught fish, but few other luxuries; it truly is a nature retreat.

During the proper seasons visitors will be able to see breeding sea turtles, as well as a host of wild birds. Local tours are available and offer guided experiences to beautiful waterfalls, and local shrines.
